Memorial Day is a U.S. holiday to remember and honor soldiers who died in war - observed the last Monday in May.  Let's show our love and support for our Veterans and for our Country.

Some of us attended the Make a Little Garden Out of Life Quilt Show in Colfax this week.  The quilts were really amazing.  There are so many talented people in our area.  I would like to make about half the quilts in the show!  


We have lots of things going on in the shop.  We started a Beginning Quilt Class this week.  It is always fun to see people learn to make a quilt.  Tee shirt quilts are being put together,  Quilted Jackets being made and there is always some knitting happening!  We will soon start a knitting series of Dishcloths.  You will learn a new knitting technique for each dishcloth.  A dishcloth may not sound very exciting, but I think these will be and when you're done, you've learned something new and useful.  New classes are being added all the time.  


Our friends and customers bring by the quilts they've made, or the ones made by a mother or grandmother.  Quilts tell a story and we love to find out what it is.
